Here, I&#8217;ll offer you some insight into the ins and outs of effective research so you can get hired.<\/p>\n<div class=\"igaudio\">\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-1199-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/media\/MML\/job-search-research.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/media\/MML\/job-search-research.mp3\">https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/media\/MML\/job-search-research.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<\/div>\n<p>While networking is an integral component of finding your dream job, there\u2019s one thing that needs to be done before you start networking.<\/p>\n<h2>It\u2019s creative research.<\/h2>\n<p>Research is a fundamental component of any effective job search strategy.<\/p>\n<p>The kind of research I\u2019m talking about will be specific to your field and\/or the particular company you want to work with.<\/p>\n<p>The more you know, the more valuable you will be for the <a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/job-search-networking\/\">position you seek<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Some of the ways you can pump up your value through research are:<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Reading trade publications.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Staying abreast of current events related to your industry or company of interest.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Finding out who the key players are in the company or field you are interested in.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Learning about the mission of your company of interest.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Discovering some unique facts about the company\u2019s history or culture.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Anything that makes you stand out as someone who is \u201cin the know\u201d is good research.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Peruse platforms like LinkedIn for live networking events in your area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The internet fortunately makes it super easy to do this type of research.<\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/leveraging-linkedin\/\">LinkedIn is a way to get even more personal<\/a> about it, because it gives you a peek into some of the hobbies and interests of people who are affiliated with your area of interest.
