But it\u2019s to be expected. If you\u2019ve ever been tempted to throw in the towel because of setbacks on your path to reaching a goal, you\u2019ll find some encouragement here.<\/p>\n<div class=\"igaudio\" style=\"margin-bottom: 30px;\">\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-4168-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/media\/MML\/GrowthIsASquigglyLine.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/media\/MML\/GrowthIsASquigglyLine.mp3\">https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/media\/MML\/GrowthIsASquigglyLine.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<\/div>\n<h2>When you set out to accomplish a goal, you generally have an idea of the steps you need to take to get there.<\/h2>\n<p>However, those steps very often do not unfold as you planned.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes it can even happen on step number one.<\/p>\n<p>You open your computer and the app you need won\u2019t update properly.<\/p>\n<p>You wake up the day you\u2019re supposed to start a project with a migraine, or you simply cannot find the materials you need.<\/p>\n<p>The strength and weakness of a person sometimes lies in their ability to roll with the punches so to speak, because setbacks are a natural part of the growth process.<\/p>\n<h2>And, no matter how resilient you are, there will likely be times when you just feel like giving up.<\/h2>\n<p>Whatever the case may be, when you feel like <a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/contemplation-integration\/\">throwing up your hands in exasperation<\/a>, it\u2019s helpful to remind yourself that this is just the way it goes FOR EVERYONE.<\/p>\n<p>Growth is not a continuous process of one step forward after another.<\/p>\n<p>There are steps back too.<\/p>\n<p>And it doesn\u2019t mean the universe is sending you a message that this is not the right thing to do.<\/p>\n<p>It also doesn\u2019t mean that the progress you have made up to now is null and void, so remind yourself of that as well. It just means you are a human being on a path to <a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/and-action\/\">accomplishing a goal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Growth is a squiggly line that ALWAYS includes unexpected challenges.<\/h2>\n<p>So, my advice is to expect setbacks.<\/p>\n<p>This doesn\u2019t mean you need to try and anticipate what those setbacks will be so you can plan for them. It just means to be prepared for things not always going as planned so you aren\u2019t blind-sighted or tempted to throw in the towel when it happens.<\/p>\n<p>Keep going and don\u2019t give up!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is your work situation frustrating you?
