Learn how I help clients identify and transform habitual patterns they didn\u2019t even know they had in this audio nugget.<\/p>\n<div class=\"igaudio\">\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-4480-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/media\/MML\/TrippyHabits.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/media\/MML\/TrippyHabits.mp3\">https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/media\/MML\/TrippyHabits.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Most of my clients show up with a set of problems they believe are completely external to them.<\/h2>\n<p>Here are a few examples of the things new clients often claim are impeding their career pathways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">I must be in the wrong business.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/top-10-sources-stress-boss-isnt-list\/\">I hate my boss<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">My team doesn\u2019t do their job.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">I don\u2019t get paid enough.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">I have the wrong market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While these complaints and issues are certainly valid, I have found that such external challenges are only about 20% of the problem when you are feeling burned out and dissatisfied with your job or career.<\/p>\n<p>These are what I call the <i>whats<\/i> of the issue.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, the <i>hows<\/i> are where the real meat of transformation lies.<\/p>\n<p>And by hows, I mean your habitual patterns, i.e., how YOU bring yourself to the situation.<\/p>\n<h2>Why Habits Are Important<\/h2>\n<p>When you realize that a whopping 80% of your work issues are about YOU, you start to understand exactly why habits are important.<\/p>\n<p>And, as I said before, this is a lucky truth.<\/p>\n<p>Because you can change your habitual patterns much more easily than you can change external factors, like how your boss behaves or how much money you make.<\/p>\n<p>Let that sink in\u2026<\/p>\n<p>The majority of your life experience depends on how you bring yourself to what you do.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the things people attribute to \u201cbeyond their power to change\u201d are simply not true.<\/p>\n<p>They go around saying things like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">I\u2019m not good with money.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">I\u2019ve always been this way (whatever the <i>way <\/i>may be).<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">I can\u2019t help <a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/no-comparison\/\">comparing myself to others<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">It\u2019s because of how I was raised.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>No baby is born with the ability to be self-doubting or the need to compare themselves to others.<\/h2>\n<p>These are habitual patterns.<\/p>\n<p><b>You do<\/b> have a choice about how you spend money.<\/p>\n<p><b>You do<\/b> have a choice about how you speak to yourself.<\/p>\n<p><b>You do<\/b> have the power to change your habitual patterns!<\/p>\n<p>But you first have to acknowledge that they are habitual patterns.<\/p>\n<p>This is where I start with my clients.<\/p>\n<p>I start from the inside, and then work out.<\/p>\n<p>I help them uncover the habitual patterns that are tripping them up so they can do the necessary <a href=\"https:\/\/internalgroove.com\/2023dev\/inner-gps\/\">inner work to transform their behavior<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The best part of the process is that many of the <i>whats<\/i> disappear when the inner work is done to address the <i>hows<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is your work situation frustrating you?
