You may be in a field that you are passionate about, yet not have the job that is right for you. If this is the case, you may switch jobs a few times until you find the one that is the right fit.

This is not a case of career burnout. It is simply a situation that requires some exploration within your chosen field. You may need to find a different company, or change jobs or departments within the same company, or find some other fulfilling way to utilize your skills and talents.

If you find that you are bouncing from position to position, but still feeling empty and unsure, you may not have found your true purpose.

Oftentimes, people who are experiencing career burnout change jobs a lot. This is because the challenge and excitement of a new experience keeps them engaged and interested for a while. Then when the newness wears off, they get bored and move on to the next thing.

The changes can help us learn and grow. So, if you are going through a career transition, don’t feel that you aren’t gaining valuable insights each step of the way. Each new experience is a new step toward the path or career that represents your life’s work.

Aim your intention toward finding work you love, and use all your experiences along the way as a means for helping you discover and create what that is. Clues are everywhere when you are willing to make the inquiry.

If you’ve ever wondered if you’re doing the work you’re truly meant to do, I’d like to invite you for a F.R.E.E.
