Do you feel you have a higher purpose? Where does that purpose reside? What does it feel like? How do you know what it is? This insightful tidbit can help hone your senses in order to find some answers to these questions.
What is Living On Purpose?
Whether you are a legacy entrepreneur, on a search for your dream job, discovering and developing your personal power, or on a path to self-improvement, living on purpose is an integral part of the process.
I would invite you to consider that living on purpose is the single most important project you could ever undertake.
Living on purpose is about living from your truest, deepest self. It brings the satisfaction of feeling that you are contributing something valuable to the world around you. There is meaning and fulfillment in what you do.
Your Dream Job
When this happens in your job or career, you are motivated simply because you value and enjoy what you are doing. You feel it is important, not only for your own self-improvement and personal power, but for the rest of the world as well. You feel that your job or career resonates with your higher purpose in life.
This is distinctly different from slogging through just to get a paycheck.
When you are living on purpose, you want to develop habits, patterns and practices that help you to reach your goals and dreams in an effort to fulfill that purpose. You want to discover who you really are and how you fit into the bigger picture of the order of the universe (or whatever you want to call it).
We all have a purpose here.
If you are doubtful about that, or unsure of what your purpose is, I would like to invite you to imagine yourself in the future, looking down on your funeral. (It may sound shocking or morbid, but it is a great way to get some insight about what your purpose might be).
Imagine what people are saying about you. What is it you want them to be saying about you? This can help give you some clues about what your purpose is.
Seek Your Inner Wisdom
There are other ways to find answers and clues to what your purpose is, and to reveal the vision of what you are here to do. The most important piece is simply a desire to know…
My goal as a career coach is to help my clients discover their purpose, and to facilitate the process of building habits, patterns and practices that clear the way for realizing that purpose in their job or career path.
