Do you have the mindset of an entrepreneur? If you’re not sure, I’ll give you one big tip on how you can start to find the answer in this video clip.
The mindset of an entrepreneur includes a few important details.
One of those is a passion for learning. Lifelong learning.
I came to profoundly understand this truth when I decided to leave a lucrative and prestigious corporate career that was killing my soul.
I knew I wasn’t happy (even though I had all the bells and whistles of success), and I knew there was something missing.
I just wasn’t sure what it was.
So I set out on a journey to find answers.
Through this process of discovery, I came to realize that I had always possessed the mindset of an entrepreneur.
And, while there are other characteristics that facilitate success as an entrepreneur, a voracious appetite for learning new things is one of the biggest.
I’m the person who has a stack of books by my bed at any given moment because I love learning new things.
But there’s a topic that entrepreneurs need to take a special interest in learning about if they want to be successful and fulfilled (and this is about more than making lots of money).
That topic is themself.
This is the golden nugget I discovered on my personal journey to find what was missing: that self knowledge is crucial if you want to build a life and a career that brings you real satisfaction!
It’s surprising how many people have not taken the time and effort to discover who they really are, i.e., what really lights them up.
As it turns out, a huge part of my personal truth is helping others find and stand in their truth.
It brings me so much joy and satisfaction to help others through the process I went through all those years ago, because I know how rewarding it is. It’s why I’ve been a life and career coach for almost two decades now.
If you are unhappy in your job, but you’re not sure what else you want to do, my best advice is to start a journey of inner learning.
You may discover that you have the mindset of an entrepreneur too!
