Why I Love Being an Empowerment Coach

Being an empowerment coach is the work I was meant to do. In this audio clip, you’ll get a glimpse into my coaching process, who my ideal clients are, and why I love what I do.

As a life and career coach, I have come to see myself as an empowerment coach. I know that empowering others to become the best version of themselves is what I am here to do because I absolutely love it! Self-empowerment looks good on everybody, and I get to facilitate that for my clients.

In truth, nothing makes me happier.

Why Being an Empowerment Coach is Rewarding

I love being the “woman behind the curtain.” I’m like a partner by their side without being their actual business partner.

It is wonderful to observe clients blossoming into humans who honor their authentic selves while creating work that brings them real life fulfillment. And even though I am a facilitator in the process, it is their strength, courage, and ability to grow and evolve that makes it happen.

That is incredibly inspiring. It’s why I am still doing this work after all these years.

My Ideal Clients

Since I enjoy digging deep, I accept clients for a minimum of three months to start. This lets me know they are committed to their own growth and evolution, and it gives us time to get through the hard part of the journey.

Those with a willingness to make hard choices when necessary and do some serious self-reflection are the ones who get the most out of our time together.

On average, I work with a client for two years, but there are quite a few that have been with me for ten years or more. This has been one of the biggest surprises for me as a coach. I didn’t expect to have so many clients for such a long period of time!

Most of my clients come from corporate positions they are miserable in. Others have started businesses but are not happy with how the business is going.

Of course, clients who are willing to do the work end up in dramatically different places from when they first started with me.

My Coaching Process

Regardless of where a client is when we start our work together, the first order of business is to assess their current situation. Once that is done, the exploration process begins. This allows us to determine what they really want to do with their lives and careers. This is where their commitment becomes an asset. This is also where our work together starts to get exciting for them and for me.

If it becomes clear that starting a business is ideal for them, we then go through the process of designing, branding, and building the business together. I am there to support and guide them when it’s necessary to step out of their comfort zone.

In some instances, we may determine that a client can restructure their current situation instead of starting their own business. I have facilitated that process with many clients as well.

In all cases, I have found this work to be supremely rewarding! It is fascinating to observe the blossoming that takes place as people step into their authentic selves and become the powerful beings they are designed to be.
