Are your life and career in alignment with your core values? In this audio snippet, I’ll outline a facet of career alignment and doing work you are truly meant to do that often gets overlooked.
I am a big proponent of finding the hidden gifts in every situation.
Even the most challenging circumstances contain hidden gifts within them.
In fact, very often the hidden gift is that we can help others who are going through similar difficulties once we make it through to the other side.
This is an integral part of the story of my coaching career.
Leaving a corporate career that was not in alignment with my core values was a challenging circumstance.
I didn’t even know what I was going to do. I just knew I needed to get out of a job that did not allow me to stand in my truth.
As it turned out, the trials and challenges I endured on the road to becoming a life and career coach became valuable experiences that allow me to be a better coach today.
I love that I can use the difficulty I went through to help others feel more relaxed and comfortable when they are going through similar situations.
In fact, I see this scenario play out in the lives and careers of my clients time and time again. When we make the effort to create a career that is in alignment with our values, we will encounter challenges along the way.
But we are motivated to find solutions.
And the beauty of it is that very often those challenges and the solutions we discover become part of our bigger life journey.
They reveal hidden gifts that we can then share with others as our lives and careers unfold.
Knowing this is a great motivator to never give up on your dreams, no matter how out of reach they may seem.
Simply by taking steps to manifest them, you will reveal hidden gifts that make you stronger and wiser— AND you will be able to use those hidden gifts to help others in the future.
