“What is the best career for me?” It’s the question of the century in my line of work! But you have to ask yourself questions to get to the heart of the matter. I’ll elaborate and give you a nudge to start honing your career alignment process in this audio clip.
A good job for me quiz, ask yourself questions, be true to yourself, best career for me, career alignment
Career alignment is what you are seeking if you are asking yourself the question, “What’s the best career for me?”
When a client needs help finding the answer to this question, it requires a bit more than taking a-good-job-for-me quiz.
In fact, most people can identify their title (or the final answer to the question) without even taking a quiz.
But the title or final answer doesn’t always reveal the job or career that allows you to be true to yourself.
To find the real final answer, you have to ask yourself questions like:
- What are the qualities of that title or final answer that are in alignment with my deepest self (i.e., my desires, dreams, hopes, aspirations)?
- How does it fit with my core values?
- How does it fit my unique essence?
- How does it allow me to spend time doing the things I love to do?
Simply having a title does not define the nuances of career alignment.
For instance, there are doctors who work with data all day long.
Other doctors see patients all day.
And other doctors work with ideas and concepts.
These are three types of people with the same title, but very different roles.
So, if you are looking for career alignment, the first step is to ask yourself questions that help you get clear about what your preferences are and how you can incorporate them into your job or career.
