Clues for Finding Your Truth

Are you interested in finding your truth? Sometimes it seems more elusive than it should. Here, I’ll offer a simple way to find your values, a key element to finding your truth.

Knowing your core values is a big key to finding and standing in your truth.

However, many people need more clarity about their values.

When clients come to me seeking clarity around their values, I empower them through a process of self-discovery.

They can then use the insights we uncover to create lives and careers that bring them purpose, fulfillment, and joy.

One of the most effective tools for gaining clarity around your core values and finding your truth is remembering what you are proud of.

What things have you done or created in your life that made you proud?

As you ponder the answers to this question, don’t limit yourself to one area of your life.

Include ALL areas of your life.

What are you proud of that you have done or created in your family?

What are you proud of that you have done or created in your personal life?

What are you proud of that you have done or created in your professional life?

It doesn’t matter when these things occurred.

It could have happened when you were young, five years ago, or last week.

As you contemplate, don’t just look at the actions involved.

Also, look for the meaning the actions carried.

Contemplate how you did what you did.

Think about how it allowed you to contribute.

How did it make you feel?

How did it enhance your life experience?

And what was it about the thing that made you feel most proud?

Take some time to reflect and let the answers bubble up. Give yourself a few days to allow insights to come, and as you remember things, write them down.

When you have a good list, determine the five things you are most proud of.

This list will give you some potent insight into your values and put you on the path to finding your truth!
