Everyone wants to know how to manifest their dreams and goals! In this audio clip, I’ll explain how I use SMART goals to help clients build “manifestation how-to.”
Manifestation how-to has become a popular topic over the last decade.
And SMART goals have been big in the corporate world since the eighties.
I coach clients on how to manifest using SMART goals.
But I have added two extra letters that represent two integral pieces to effective manifestation, so my spin on this combination of powerful tools is what I call SMARTIE Goals.
If you haven’t heard of SMART goals, here’s a brief overview:
- The S stands for specific, meaning the outcome needs to be clearly defined.
- The M stands for measurable, meaning the goal should be quantifiable based on specific data.
- The A stands for achievable, because the goal shouldn’t be too grandiose.
- The R means the goal should be relevant to the mission or larger vision of the company.
- The T indicates that the goal should be time-bound, meaning there should be a deadline for when it will be accomplished.
The manifestation how-to component comes into play with my addition of the I and E.
- The I is about being in the present. This means taking on the thought that your goal has already happened. Gratitude is a helpful adjunct to being in the present, because it sends the message out to the universe that it is a done deal. It tells your psyche, “this is already on its way to me. It’s already happening.”
- The E reminds you to be emotionally connected to your goal. This means feeling as if the goal is achieved. Visualization helps with this part because if you get really excited about what you visualize, you become emotionally connected to it.
This part of the process is so important. It helps you create a positive emotional connection to something you want rather than a negative emotional connection to the things you don’t want.
