Is Entrepreneurship in Your Bones

Are you cut out for entrepreneurship? There are some key attributes of “born entrepreneurs.” Listen to this audio clip to determine if you have the entrepreneurial bone.

As an entrepreneur and coach, I have developed a keen sense of whether someone has the natural mindset to be a successful entrepreneur.

Just for the record, success to me is more than making lots of money.

It’s about how much you enjoy what you are doing, how much you can stand in your power, express your truth— and yes, how much freedom (including financial freedom) you have.

All these things are possible when you find the work you were meant to do!

If you are considering starting your own business, I encourage you to get clear about whether you possess a few key habits and traits that will allow you to thrive as an entrepreneur.

If you have these qualities, entrepreneurship can be a blast for you.

If you don’t, you will be miserable in the entrepreneurial role.

A fundamental quality of natural-born entrepreneurs is that they have an insatiable desire to learn and grow.

They are hungry for knowledge, and they enjoy self-reflection.

That means if you do not thrive in an environment that offers constant opportunities for growth and learning and you are not hungry for knowledge and self-reflection, entrepreneurship may not be right for you.

In my experience as a coach, I have come to understand that people either have the entrepreneurial bone or don’t.

There is no middle ground.

If you don’t have the entrepreneurial bone, there is no need to feel inadequate or guilty.

It just means you would be more satisfied in a different work environment.

If you do have the entrepreneurial bone, it doesn’t mean the only way you will be happy is if you start your own business.

Other possibilities are working as a realtor or a sales representative.

In these cases, you are essentially running your own business under the umbrella of another company.
