Are you in need of a little self love recovery? If so, you’ll be happy to know the path may not be as long and arduous as you think. Learn more about that in this short audio clip.
Self love recovery is something most of us could benefit from.
It’s so easy in our hectic world to get caught up in the self-critical voice in your head.
That’s often what keeps us stuck in mental and emotional places we’d rather not be.
I have found that most people apply the same thought patterns and behaviors in all areas of their lives, i.e., how they do one thing is how they do everything else.
This is actually good news.
It means that if you make a commitment to address a negative habit in one area of your life, the habit will improve in other areas as well.
So just by becoming aware of the pattern and making an effort to address it in a general way will “clean up” all areas of your life and career where it was keeping you stuck.
It’s kind of like getting “extra credit.”
So, you may choose to work on the negative voice that shows up when you are playing tennis (or some other leisure activity), or when you are stressed about a work project (or some other aspect of your career).
But what will happen is the habit of self criticism will shift in all other areas of your life and career as well.
There is a very important point to remember when you are on a path of self love recovery.
It’s to be super gentle when you notice you are being critical or judgmental with yourself.
It defeats the purpose and goal when you notice that you are being self critical and then judge yourself for being self critical (I call that two against zero.)
Self love recovery is about self love, not self recrimination!
