Your Strengths and Talents Are Clues

Do you swat away your strengths and talents because they seem easy? This is a common theme I notice among my clients. In this audio clip, I’ll invite you to honor the things that come naturally to you.

There is a subtle idea in our culture that if something is too easy, it’s not valuable.

However, when it comes to our natural strengths and talents, this is not the case.

Things that come easily to us are our gifts.

They are innate to who we are.

They are clues that can lead us to fulfilling work when we are willing to honor and develop them rather than swatting them away as if they are unimportant.

Just because something comes easily to you doesn’t mean it comes as easily to others.

It means that thing is a part of YOUR uniqueness; it’s part of what YOU are here to contribute to the world.

Doing the things that come naturally to you is where you are most rewarded.

It’s where you enjoy yourself the most because it allows you to express the deepest truth of who you are.

Subjugating or downplaying your natural strengths and talents for any reason at all starts to build a foundation of self doubt. Stress and frustration come when we ignore who we truly are and try to fit ourselves into a box that someone else says we should be in.

But when you embrace your uniqueness by honoring your innate gifts, the sky’s the limit for so many things:

Whatever it is you are looking for, utilizing the things that come naturally to you is a means of getting it.

The more you can incorporate your innate strengths and talents into your work, the more often you will find yourself going to bed at night with a silly grin on your face because you’ve just had a damn fun day!

As a coach, I revel in the opportunity to help others earn a living by utilizing their unique strengths and talents. This eliminates 95% of stress and frustration, and gives the world the gift of a happy, fulfilled individual who is doing the work they are meant to do.
