Have you done a work values inventory? If your job satisfaction quotient is low, it may be time to do one. Here’s why.
Knowing your work values is necessary for mapping a career trajectory that brings you the highest level of job satisfaction.
Nothing is more miserable than working in a job or career every day that doesn’t align with your work values.
If you’re wondering what I mean by work values, here are some questions to ask yourself to get clear about what yours are:
- What is important to you about your work?
- Do you enjoy being part of a team or community?
- Do you work better on your own?
- Are you motivated by helping others?
- Are you motivated by discovering or creating things?
As you can see, work values are related to what motivates you, what environment you work best in, and what brings you joy.
Get clear on all these things to get on the path to the work you were meant to do!
